We have had a very cool wet summer so far, too, in north central British Columbia. Maybe there’s warmer weather to come? At least it’s been a slow forest fire season!!

It will be great to see how the roof blooms into the summer months! Glad Eileen was on hand to make sure you two were doing your jobs!

What kind of sedum are you planting? I recently planted one called dragon's blood ( I have a bit of a dragon fixation, and considering I recently found out I have Welsh ancestry, it fits)

That is an interesting roof but will you have to climb up there all the time to maintain it? Or will you have gardeners on hand for that chore? Can't wait to see progress.

Lovely idea for the roof. I just hope you can at least see it from your bedroom windows. Disappointed you are having such a chilly spring. Wish we could send some of our 35+C heat over to you. Entirely too early to have these temperatures , and we need rain. Glad to see you and Ant working together, great friendship and companionship. Have you made a quilt for him and his wife? XO

Your summer weather is probably good for planting the green roof. You would not want to be doing it here in PA this summer we are having 90° F plus temps . Yesterday it was 94°. The grass is getting like straw. A green roof wouldn’t stay green very long here. Hope your project is a great success.

I have my own craft cabin in the garden . I just love my own space and it’s good for the soul . My happy place , so lucky I don’t take it for granted .

At first, I imagined a painted green metal roof when Kate said a 'green roof'. What a nice surprise to see the living roof! Some creeping Jenny with their pretty yellow flowers and snow in summer would be pretty as they cascade over the edge of the roof. And Ant is an amazing helper!
